I've been checking out the beta version 0.5 of the Firefox-based browser, Flock. My short answer opinion on it after a couple of days is: Neat. It seems targeted at the way more and more people are using the web: Across the top of the browser window it integrates a blog client compatible w/ Wordpress, TypePad, and of course, Blogger. It comes with a new concept, for me, that they call their "Shelf". The Shelf is a separate window to which you can drag (and presumably store) web elements for later blogging. These things can be links, pics, or text. Nifty.
Flock also comes with a a Flickr browser available in that "Topbar" space where you're used to seeing icons. I'm not as sure about the usefulness of that, but I like Flickr, I guess.
Maybe most revolutionary, though, is their incorporation of Delicious Favorites. (I know there are some dots in Delicious, but I'm not interested in double-checking to find out where.) Delicious is a Favorites-sharing online community, isn't it? I think it is.
OK. enough procrastination: Back to work!
