what an idiot

So, if you're cleaning up the table after dinner and balance a delicate wine glass on top of all the other crap, what's going to happen? Of course.
And if you hold off on filling up the gas tank because you're sure there ought to be a gas station up ahead, somewhere, what's going to wind up happening? Of course you've just hosed yourself and are going to wind up walking for gas or waiting for AAA.
So, what the fuck did I think was going to happen when I bungied my tripod to both both the passenger seat(immobile and welded to the frame of the Subaru) AND the passenger door (quite mobile and swings out 3 or 4 feet from the car)? What an idiot.

Maybe the door tried to swing open but was bungeed shut? Did the door swing open and pull the camera with it? Did this bungee-contraption effectively lock the door?
